Tiger Shroff Firing Case: Suspects’ First Image Emerges, Police Recover Motorcycle Used in Attack
The first image of the suspects involved in the firing incident linked to Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff has surfaced as Mumbai Police intensifies its investigation into the attack in the Juhu area on Sunday evening.
The photograph, reportedly captured near the scene, shows two men wearing white shirts. One of them is seen wearing a black cap featuring the Puma logo. Investigators are working to establish their identities and reconstruct their movements before and after the incident.
In a significant development, police have recovered the motorcycle allegedly used in the attack. The suspects reportedly abandoned the vehicle at Andheri railway station before fleeing.
Preliminary findings indicate that the motorcycle is registered in Mumbai. Investigators are examining its registration documents, number plate, chassis number and engine number to trace its ownership and history.
Police are also analysing CCTV footage from the surrounding areas to track the suspects’ escape route and identify others who may have assisted them.
CCTV Footage Reveals Three Suspects’ Possible Roles
According to preliminary information, three men were involved in the incident. Two allegedly approached the scene, while a third person arrived on a motorcycle and appeared to remain ready to help them escape.
Footage from the location reportedly shows one suspect firing multiple rounds. The second man also appears to attempt to fire a weapon, although it remains unclear whether his firearm discharged.
The third individual can be seen waiting on the motorcycle, apparently positioned to facilitate a quick getaway.
Investigators are examining the available footage alongside forensic findings to determine the sequence of events and establish the precise roles of each suspect.
Tiger Shroff Escapes Unhurt, Two People Injured
The firing took place as the 36-year-old actor was leaving after playing a football match in Mumbai’s Juhu area.
Although Shroff escaped without major injury, his driver, Firdaus, and an autorickshaw driver identified as Chauhan were reportedly injured. Shroff was seated on the side of the vehicle when the firing began and subsequently moved towards the driver’s seat.
The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has claimed responsibility for the attack and reportedly issued fresh threats against people associated with Bollywood actor Salman Khan. Investigators are examining the claim as part of the ongoing probe.
Mumbai Police Deploy 15 Teams
Mumbai Police has formed 15 teams comprising Crime Branch personnel and local police officers to identify and apprehend those involved.
Investigators are reviewing CCTV recordings from the area, while forensic experts have collected ballistic evidence and examined the relevant vehicle. The evidence is expected to help establish the number of rounds fired and provide further leads.
Authorities are also investigating the recovered motorcycle and its connection to the suspects.
Fadnavis, Shinde Respond to the Incident
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who also holds the Home portfolio, spoke with Mumbai Police Commissioner Deven Bharti and Tiger Shroff following the incident.
Fadnavis directed the police to accelerate the investigation and arrest those responsible, assuring the actor that efforts were underway to trace the suspects.
Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde also visited Shroff at his residence shortly after the firing. During the visit, Shinde reportedly disclosed that the actor had sustained gunpowder burns on his right hand.
Describing the incident as serious, Shinde vowed strict action against those responsible. He also warned that no gang or individual would be permitted to revive gang-related violence in Mumbai.
Police continue to investigate the shooting, with CCTV analysis, forensic evidence and the recovered motorcycle expected to play important roles in identifying the suspects and establishing the circumstances surrounding the attack.
