Trump Declares Iran ‘Dead’, Threatens Tehran With More Strikes After US-Iran Fire Exchange

US President Donald Trump has launched a fresh attack on Iran, calling it a “failed nation” and warning Tehran of a strong military response after American and Iranian forces exchanged fire for the first time in a month.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote that “Iran is officially a Failed Nation” and declared in capital letters, “IT IS DEAD!”

Trump claimed Iran had no functioning navy, air force or currency and alleged that the country was unable to pay its soldiers and police personnel. He also claimed inflation had surged to 300% and described Iran’s leadership as being in “total disarray”.

The US President further accused Iranian authorities of using deadly force against protesters, alleging that more than 100,000 people had been killed. He said those responsible should face prosecution for “war crimes against humanity”.

Trump also criticised what he called “FAKE NEWS from the USA” and accused Iran of spreading false narratives as tensions between Washington and Tehran intensified.

Trump Threatens Strong US Response

Speaking to Fox News, Trump warned Iran that the US would respond forcefully to an overnight attack on American forces.

“We’re going to hit them hard,” Trump said.

His remarks came after US and Iranian forces engaged in direct fire for the first time in roughly a month. The US military struck two Iranian rocket launchers, while Iran later fired missiles towards Jordan.

The confrontation represents a renewed escalation between Washington and Tehran following a period without direct exchanges of fire.

US Targets Iranian Rocket Launchers

The US Central Command said American forces struck Iranian launchers on Sunday after they attempted to deploy mines in the Strait of Hormuz.

The military action came amid heightened tensions around the strategic waterway, a key route for global energy shipments.

A person familiar with the incident said all Iranian missiles launched in retaliation were intercepted.

The latest exchange followed the US strikes on the Iranian launchers and Iran’s subsequent missile launches towards Jordan.

Trump’s warning has raised concerns that the latest confrontation could lead to further US military action against Iran.
