Trump Orders Pentagon to Plan Military Restructuring Amid Rising China-Russia Ties.

Following the high-profile appearance of Chinese President Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in Beijing, US President Donald Trump has directed the Pentagon to prepare for potential deterrence operations against China and Russia, signaling a major restructuring of the American armed forces.

US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, speaking to Fox News, confirmed that he has received orders from the President to begin planning a comprehensive overhaul of the military.

“President Trump has tasked the Department of Defense with rebuilding our military and re-establishing deterrence—not because we seek conflict, but to ensure the United States remains prepared,” Hegseth said.

Trump has repeatedly accused China, Russia, and North Korea of conspiring against the United States, remarks that coincided with Xi Jinping’s massive military parade in Beijing, marking the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II. The President did not provide further details on the alleged “conspiracy” but emphasized America’s historical role in liberating China from foreign occupation during the war.

The military parade in Beijing on Wednesday saw Xi, Putin, and Kim appear together, underscoring the growing strategic alignment between the three nations. The US response, including the Pentagon’s planned restructuring, reflects heightened concerns over this emerging geopolitical alliance and its implications for global security.
