Tu Yaa Main Day 3 Box Office: Tu Yaa Main, starring Adarsh Gourav and Shanaya Kapoor, is struggling to find momentum at the box office.
After witnessing a Valentine’s Day spike on Day 2, the film saw collections dip again on Day 3. Directed by Bejoy Nambiar, the survival drama is facing tough competition from O Romeo, headlined by Shahid Kapoor, which released on the same day.
Day 3 Collection
According to Sacnilk’s early estimates, Tu Yaa Main earned approximately Rs 75 lakh on Day 3 (Sunday). With this, the film’s total collection stands at around Rs 2.8 crore after three days.
The film opened at Rs 65 lakh on Day 1. It saw a noticeable jump on Day 2 (Valentine’s Day), collecting Rs 1.45 crore, likely aided by its romantic positioning and holiday footfall. However, the Day 3 drop indicates that the surge was largely occasion-driven rather than momentum-based.
In comparison, O Romeo has crossed Rs 30 crore within its first three days, dominating the box office and limiting screens and audience share for Tu Yaa Main.
- Overall Occupancy
- On Sunday, the film recorded an overall Hindi occupancy of 13.36%.
- Morning shows: 5.05%
- Afternoon shows: 14.85%
- Evening shows: 20.48%
- Night shows: 13.07%
While evening occupancy showed some improvement, the overall numbers reflect muted audience turnout.
What Shanaya Kapoor Said
In an interview with PTI, Shanaya Kapoor addressed box office expectations, saying:
“I’m an actor, I want my films to do well. I want the audiences to go in and like it — the theatre should be jam-packed. That’s the dream, and that’s what I’m working towards. That is the aim and motivation.”
About The Film
Tu Yaa Main follows two social media influencers whose romantic getaway spirals into a survival nightmare. Shanaya plays Avani, aka Miss Vanity, while Adarsh Gourav portrays Maruti, popularly known as Aala Flowpara. Their trip takes a dangerous turn when they find themselves trapped in a swimming pool with a crocodile.
The film is produced by Aanand L Rai, Himanshu Sharma and Vinod Bhanushali.
For now, the film is relying heavily on word-of-mouth to sustain its theatrical run. However, early trends suggest it faces an uphill battle at the box office.
