Viral vlog sparks concern

The video was posted by Arbaz Khan as part of a Ramzan vlog. In the clip, he takes viewers inside a hospital room where Zakir can be seen wearing a patient gown with the hospital’s name printed on it, indicating he is at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai.

Despite being in hospital, Zakir appears relaxed in the video and is seen spending time with his brother while watching an India vs England T20 cricket match on television.

During the match, the comedian casually remarks, “Match abhi fasa hua hai” (The match is in a critical spot right now).

Fans ask about Zakir Khan’s health

After the clip spread online, many fans began posting messages asking about Zakir Khan’s health. Several users expressed concern on social media and wished him a speedy recovery, with many writing “Get well soon” in the comments.

The video has particularly drawn attention because Zakir had earlier spoken publicly about taking a break from performing.

Earlier announcement about a long break

During a show in Hyderabad in January, Zakir told the audience that he planned to step away from stand-up comedy for several years.

“I’m going on a long, long break. Probably till 2028–29, or even 2030. It will be a break of three, four, or five years to take care of my health and sort out a few other things,” he said.

He added that the audience present at the show meant a great deal to him and thanked fans for their continued support.

Zakir later addressed rumours about his health

As speculation about his health began circulating online, Zakir later clarified the situation during an appearance at Spoken Fest.

“The story about my break is that I had a lot of writing work that I hadn’t been able to do for the past six years. My health is not very good, but not too bad,” he said.

The comedian also dismissed several online reports as exaggerated.

“What you’ve read on the Internet is false. All these unnecessary things are just rubbish. The people writing it are also terrible, and on top of that, they mention that a very close family source has confirmed this. My family stays with me, so we see each other’s faces asking who said anything,” he said.

For now, the hospital video has left fans curious about Zakir Khan’s health, with many hoping the comedian is recovering well and will return to the stage in the future.
