Indore Woman Plotted Husband’s Murder Days After Wedding, Cited Intimacy Issues in Chats with Lover.

Sonam Raghuvanshi, who is accused of murdering her husband Raja Raghuvanshi during their honeymoon in Meghalaya, allegedly conspired to kill him just three days after their wedding, sources. She was reportedly in constant touch with her lover, Raj Kushwaha, and had expressed discomfort about her husband’s physical advances.

According to investigators, Sonam confided in Raj via text that she had emotionally distanced herself from Raja even before their wedding. She also allegedly discussed a plan to kill him shortly after their marriage. The murder was reportedly premeditated, and Sonam deliberately chose a remote honeymoon destination in Meghalaya to execute the plan.

Background of the Case
Sonam and Raja got married on May 10 in Indore and reached Cherrapunji, Meghalaya, for their honeymoon on May 21. However, days later, Raja was found dead at the bottom of a deep gorge in a hilly forest area. Initial reports had described the couple as “missing,” prompting police search operations.

Following the recovery of Raja’s body, Shillong Police ruled out the possibility of an accident, suggesting foul play. On Monday, Sonam surrendered in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, after remaining on the run. She confessed to orchestrating the murder and hiring contract killers to eliminate her husband.

Arrests Made
Police have arrested four individuals in connection with the crime. Besides Raj Kushwaha, the woman’s alleged lover, the other accused have been identified as Aakash Rajpoot, Vikas alias Vicky, and Anand.

Autopsy Findings
The postmortem report confirmed Raja suffered multiple sharp injuries, including two severe wounds — one on the front and one on the back of his head — confirming a violent death.
