Adani Enterprises Plans ₹1,000 Crore Retail Bond Issue Amid Growing Investor Demand.
Adani Enterprises, the flagship company of billionaire Gautam Adani’s conglomerate, is set to raise ₹1,000 crore through a retail bond issue, according to recent stock exchange filings. The company has submitted a draft prospectus for regulatory approval.
This would mark Adani Enterprises’ second retail bond offering in less than a year. In September 2024, the firm raised ₹800 crore through its debut retail bond issue, which was met with strong investor demand.
The proposed bond issue includes a green-shoe option of ₹500 crore, allowing the company to retain additional subscriptions if investor interest exceeds the base issue size.
The issue will be managed by Nuvama Wealth Management, Trust Investment Advisors, and Tip Sons Consultancy Services. While the interest rate (coupon), tenure, and exact launch date have not yet been disclosed, the bonds have received a AA- rating from both ICRA and Care Ratings, indicating a stable credit profile.
The move reflects a growing trend among major Indian corporates tapping into the retail bond market, as retail investors increasingly turn to fixed-income products amid heightened volatility in equity markets.
If demand mirrors the success of the previous issue, the latest offering could further strengthen Adani Enterprises’ funding profile while broadening its investor base.
