Kangana Ranaut Reacts to Manisha Koirala’s Praise, Calls Compliment a ‘Huge Honour’

Actor Kangana Ranaut has reacted after Manisha Koirala called her a “brilliant, phenomenal actor.” On Sunday, Kangana shared a clip on her Instagram Stories in which Manisha praised her work.

Speaking to Filme Shilmy, Manisha listed several “new age” actors she admires, including Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor, and Vicky Kaushal. “They take my breath away when they perform. I say, ‘Yeh kaise karte hai yeh log?’ I’m enamoured with these performances,” she said.

She also lauded Rajkummar Rao, Alia Bhatt, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Junaid Khan, before singling out Kangana in the “big star” category. “Kangana is a brilliant actor. She is a phenomenal actor. Alia Bhatt is a very good, brilliant actor—so hardworking and it shows.”

Sharing the clip, Kangana wrote: “Thank you ma’am” along with heart, folded hands, and bouquet emojis.

This isn’t the first time Manisha has praised Kangana—back in 2021, she told Pinkvilla, “Kangana is also brilliant. I loved her in Queen.”

Manisha was last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar (2024), which streamed on Netflix and broke viewership records despite mixed reviews.

Kangana last appeared in Emergency (2025), which also starred Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Chaudhry, and Milind Soman. Despite its star cast, the film underperformed at the box office, earning ₹20 crore. She will next make her Hollywood debut in the horror drama Blessed Be the Evil, alongside Tyler Posey and Scarlet Rose Stallone, with filming scheduled to begin this summer in New York.
