Mrunal Thakur has finally addressed the swirling rumors linking her romantically to Tamil superstar Dhanush, putting speculation to rest with a clear statement about their relationship.
In a recent interview cited by Only Kollywood, Mrunal laughed off the dating rumors, emphasizing their friendship instead. She said, “Dhanush is just a good friend to me,” calling the rumors “funny” and insisting there’s nothing romantic between them.
She also clarified that Dhanush’s presence at the Son of Sardaar 2 screening was not due to her invitation. “Dhanush attended the event; it was Ajay Devgn who invited him,” she explained, dispelling misconceptions about her role in his attendance.
The rumors started after Mrunal was spotted at the wrap-up party of Tere Ishq Mein, an upcoming film featuring Dhanush and Aanand L Rai. Their brief interaction during the Son of Sardaar 2 screening and Mrunal’s recent following of Dhanush’s sisters on Instagram further fueled speculation.
Dhanush, who divorced director Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth in 2022 after 18 years of marriage, shares two children with her. While fans remain curious, Mrunal’s statement makes it clear that, for now, their relationship is purely friendly.
