Prime Video Partners With Maddock Films For Eight Upcoming Blockbusters, Including Param Sundari and Thama.
Prime Video has sealed a major post-theatrical streaming deal with Maddock Films, making the platform the exclusive digital home for eight upcoming titles. The slate includes big-ticket films such as Param Sundari starring Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor (slated for a 29 August 2025 theatrical release), as well as Thama, part of Maddock’s much-loved horror-comedy universe. Two more franchise titles will be announced soon.
The partnership also brings sequels like Shiddat 2 and Badlapur 2 to Prime Video after their theatrical run, along with Sriram Raghavan’s much-anticipated Ikkis, starring Agastya Nanda. Several additional films are expected to be revealed under this collaboration, which covers releases between 2025 and 2027.
Dinesh Vijan, CEO & Founder of Maddock Films, called the tie-up a natural extension of Maddock’s storytelling vision. “We’ve always believed in telling stories that surprise, entertain, and resonate—and in working with partners who share that belief. Prime Video has consistently championed cinema that transcends languages, geographies, and formats. This long-term deal ensures our films reach an even wider global audience,” he said.
Echoing the sentiment, Manish Menghani, Director & Head of Content Licensing, Prime Video India, said, “We are thrilled to expand our strategic collaboration with Maddock Films. This multi-film slate builds on Maddock’s wildly popular horror-comedy universe while also offering distinctive storytelling. We look forward to entertaining audiences worldwide with these post-theatrical premieres.”
With this deal, Prime Video cements its position as the go-to platform for some of India’s most eagerly awaited theatrical releases.
