Param Sundari Box Office Day 2: Sidharth Malhotra–Janhvi Kapoor Film Shows Growth, Earns ₹16.47 Crore.

After a steady start on Friday, Param Sundari witnessed an upward trend on Saturday, August 30. Starring Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor, the romantic drama collected an estimated ₹9.22 crore on Day 2, taking its domestic total to ₹16.47 crore. The film had opened with ₹7.25 crore, marking Sidharth’s fifth-biggest career opener.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh noted that the Day 1 numbers were higher than Shahid Kapoor’s Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. On Saturday, the film registered 15.80% occupancy across Hindi belts, with the afternoon and evening shows showing the strongest surge. While Delhi-NCR hosted the maximum number of screenings (1,233), southern cities like Bengaluru, Chennai, and Hyderabad delivered the best occupancy levels.

Plot at a Glance
Param Sundari follows Param Sachadev (Sidharth Malhotra), a restless entrepreneur whose failed ventures force him into a challenge set by his father — find a soulmate within 10 days to secure a ₹5 crore investment. His search takes him to Kochi, where he meets Sundari (Janhvi Kapoor), a homestay owner with grounded charm. Their cultural differences and the presence of Sundari’s family friend Venugopal add complications to a story about love, risk, and second chances.

Early Reviews
“This isn’t a film that preaches or complicates. It just wants you to feel the giddiness of first love, the ache of uncertainty, and the relief of choosing heart over head. In that, it succeeds.”

With encouraging weekend trends and strong regional turnout, Param Sundari looks set to post a solid first-weekend collection.
