Indian cricket fans got their first look at Team India’s new ODI jersey ahead of the upcoming series against Australia, unveiled during a pre-series photoshoot at Perth’s Optus Stadium.

The redesigned kit features a major change — Apollo Tyres has replaced Dream11 as the team’s lead sponsor, with its logo now displayed prominently on the front.

The unveiling saw Dhruv Jurel and Nitish Kumar Reddy represent India at the shoot, while Mitchell Starc and Travis Head posed for Australia. All-rounder Axar Patel later interacted with the media at a casual press event.

The new look has sparked divided opinions among fans. While some praised the jersey’s sleek design and fresh colour tone, others were critical of the large sponsor logo, saying it overshadows the “INDIA” lettering and affects the traditional aesthetic of the kit.

The buzz around the new jersey adds to the anticipation for the three-match ODI series starting October 19. The return of senior stars Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma — both making their ODI comeback after retiring from T20Is and Tests — has further heightened excitement. Their inclusion is expected to boost India’s confidence and draw massive fan engagement both in-stadium and online.
