Delhi Police on Friday arrested Bandhu Maan Singh Sekhon, a key suspect linked to the firing incidents outside Kapil Sharma’s Kap’s Café in Surrey, Canada. Officials said Sekhon is associated with gangster Goldy Brar, a prominent figure in the Lawrence Bishnoi network.

Investigators revealed that Sekhon fled to India shortly after the attacks in Canada. He was apprehended by the Crime Branch with what officials described as sophisticated weapons. Central agencies have now joined the investigation to trace his movements, identify his contacts, and uncover the supply chain used to carry out the shootings.

According to police sources, Sekhon allegedly arranged weapons and logistics for the attackers who targeted Kap’s Café three times this year. The café, launched in July in British Columbia, escaped all three attacks without any injuries. Gangster Goldy Dhillon had earlier claimed responsibility for the shootings in a social media video.

Authorities are now probing Sekhon’s coordination with overseas handlers and assessing whether more operatives connected to the network are active in India or Canada. His interrogation is expected to shed light on the broader criminal nexus behind the attacks and the motive driving them.

Police said they recovered a Chinese-made pistol and cartridges from Sekhon at the time of arrest. His role in the conspiracy, as well as his communication with foreign-based operatives, is currently under detailed examination.
