Just hours after being granted bail, businessman Raj Kundra stepped out in Mumbai with wife Shilpa Shetty for a quiet evening with close friends.

The couple was seen leaving a popular city venue after what appeared to be an intimate dinner gathering. Shilpa was spotted warmly greeting and hugging a friend before heading towards their car, where Raj was waiting. He briefly exchanged pleasantries and a handshake before the couple drove away together. Their relaxed body language and coordinated white outfits drew attention, with Shilpa opting for a structured white dress and blazer, while Raj kept it understated in a white T-shirt and beanie.

Bail Granted In PMLA Case

Raj Kundra was granted bail by a special PMLA court in Mumbai in connection with an alleged ₹6,606 crore bitcoin-linked money laundering case. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is continuing its probe into the matter.

Speaking briefly to the media after securing bail, Kundra said, “Satyamev Jayate,” adding that he has faith in the judiciary and will continue to cooperate with the legal process.

Details Of The Case

In September 2025, the ED filed a chargesheet naming Kundra in connection with a bitcoin-related fraud case. Investigators have alleged links between Kundra and Amit Bhardwaj, associated with gainbitcoin.com. Authorities claim the case involves alleged irregularities tied to cryptocurrency investments and bitcoin mining schemes.

The matter is connected to FIRs registered in 2018 at police stations in Pune, where investors had alleged they were misled in the name of bitcoin mining returns. It has also been alleged that 285 bitcoins were acquired from Bhardwaj and that certain key information related to digital wallets was not disclosed during the investigation.

Kundra’s legal team has maintained that he has fully cooperated with authorities and appeared before the ED multiple times since 2021. He has been granted bail on a bond of ₹1 lakh, and the investigation remains ongoing.
