Who is Saaniya Chandhok?
Unlike many from high-profile business families, Saaniya Chandhok has largely stayed away from the spotlight. She belongs to the well-known Ghai family, which has a long-standing presence in Mumbai’s hospitality and food industries.
The family’s business legacy traces back to entrepreneur Iqbal Krishan Ghai, the force behind the iconic Kwality Ice Cream brand and the InterContinental Marine Drive. The legacy continues through Graviss Hospitality Ltd, led by Ravi Iqbal Ghai, which operates Baskin-Robbins India.
The family has also backed newer ventures such as The Brooklyn Creamery, a health-focused dessert brand launched by Shivaan Ghai.
Saaniya herself is involved in business as well. A graduate of the London School of Economics, she works as a veterinary technician and runs a Mumbai-based luxury pet spa called Mr Paws.
Earlier in the celebrations, the couple’s mehendi ceremony was held at the Mahalaxmi Racecourse, while the festivities also included a pre-wedding celebration in Jamnagar hosted by the Ambani family.
