Raja Shivaji Box Office Collection Day 1: Riteish Deshmukh Starrer Opens at ₹11.35 Crore
Raja Shivaji, starring Riteish Deshmukh, opened in theatres on Friday to a positive response from both critics and audiences. The film has reportedly earned over ₹11 crore on its opening day.
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Raja Shivaji collected a net ₹11.35 crore across 6,192 shows in India on Day 1. The Marathi version contributed ₹8 crore, while the Hindi version added ₹3.35 crore to the total earnings.
The film saw its highest occupancy in Sangli, followed by Pune, Mumbai, and Nashik, indicating strong traction in key Maharashtra markets.

Raja Shivaji features Riteish Deshmukh in the titular role and brings together a large ensemble cast including Abhishek Bachchan, Genelia Deshmukh, Sanjay Dutt, Mahesh Manjrekar, Sachin Khedekar, Bhagyashree, Fardeen Khan, Jitendra Joshi, and Amole Gupte.
The historical drama traces the early life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, focusing on his vision of Swarajya and his resistance against dominant powers of the era. Shivaji Maharaj, the founder of the Maratha Empire, challenged both the Deccan Sultanates and the Mughal Empire. His early campaigns, including the raid on Pune and the sack of Surat in the 1660s, are key historical references that form the backdrop of his rise.
