Directed by Homi Adajania, Cocktail 2 serves as a spiritual successor to the 2012 hit Cocktail, which featured Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Diana Penty in key roles.

The upcoming film stars Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna as the central trio. Reports suggest the story revolves around three characters—Kunal, Ellie and Diya—whose friendship and romantic relationships lead to emotional twists and complications.

Shahid Kapoor Reportedly Commands the Biggest Paycheck

According to media reports, Shahid Kapoor is the highest-paid actor in the film. The actor has reportedly charged around Rs 35 crore for his role in Cocktail 2.

Meanwhile, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna are said to have received approximately Rs 15 crore each. The film is reportedly being produced on a budget of around Rs 80 crore, making it one of the notable mid-to-big-budget Bollywood releases of the year.

Reunion After Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya

Cocktail 2 marks Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon’s second on-screen collaboration after their successful 2024 romantic comedy Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. The addition of Rashmika Mandanna has further boosted anticipation surrounding the project.

The film’s promotional campaign is already underway, with the lead actors making several appearances in Mumbai. Industry reports indicate that the trailer could arrive in early June, adding to the excitement ahead of release.

Cocktail 2 is slated to hit theatres on June 19.
