Katrina Kaif recently faced online trolling following her appearance at the Ambani family’s Ganapati puja in Mumbai.

Some social media users commented on her appearance and weight, despite the actor having welcomed her son, Vihaan, in November 2025.

Salman Khan appeared to come to Katrina’s defence during a recent episode of Weekend Ka Vaar. While discussing online trolling, the actor-host criticised people who target celebrities over their appearance, weight and personal lives.

Internet Praises Salman for Supporting Katrina

Clips of Salman addressing the issue quickly spread across social media, with many fans praising him for speaking out against the trolling.

“Katrina Kaif’s guardian angel,” one user wrote while sharing a video from the episode. Another said, “Salman Khan took revenge for Katrina Kaif’s postpartum trolling.”

Some fans linked Salman’s comments to his and Katrina’s popular characters Tiger and Zoya from the YRF spy universe. “Tiger is back, speaking up for Zoya,” a fan wrote.

Others also praised Salman for taking a stand. “Bhaijaan defended Katrina Kaif,” one user posted, while another wrote, “All this because they dared to disrespect Kat.”

Although Salman did not mention Katrina by name, viewers connected his remarks about postpartum weight gain and motherhood to the recent trolling directed at the actor.

One fan wrote, “He always protects her no matter what,” while another praised Salman for speaking up even though he was not obligated to do so.

What Did Salman Khan Say?

Salman’s comments came while he was addressing a dispute involving Bigg Boss contestants ScoutOP and Arishfa Khan. He criticised online trolls for targeting people simply to gain attention or make money.

“You are making money by putting someone down,” Salman said, adding that trolls often comment on celebrities’ bodies, weight, appearance, families, careers and personal milestones.

He argued that such behaviour reflects the upbringing of those making the comments.

Without naming Katrina, Salman also spoke about the criticism faced by a woman after pregnancy. He pointed out that weight gain is a natural part of pregnancy and said that she could regain fitness when she chose to return to films.

He also stressed that new mothers should be given the freedom to spend time with their families rather than being subjected to constant scrutiny over their appearance.

Katrina has received support from several other public figures, including actors Khushbu Sundar and Sonarika Bhadoria, amid the social media criticism.
