Bihar: 3 Men Arrested for Sexually Assaulting Minor, Uploading Video Online

Three men have been arrested in Bihar’s Khagaria for allegedly sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl and circulating a video of the incident on social media.

The case was registered at the Khagaria Women’s Police Station after the girl’s mother filed a complaint. According to the complaint, the alleged incident took place in the Bahadurpur police station area. The accused allegedly recorded the girl after she resisted the abuse and later shared the video online.

The video was reportedly circulated on Instagram and allegedly contained personal details that could identify the minor, causing distress to her family. Police are investigating how the footage was recorded and subsequently disseminated.

The girl has undergone a medical examination as part of the investigation. Sadar SDPO-1 Ramesh Kumar confirmed that a case had been registered against the three accused.

During the initial inquiry, police reportedly found differences between statements given by the girl and her mother. Authorities are recording the girl’s statement again to establish the circumstances surrounding the alleged assault and the circulation of the video.

Police are also examining claims that the girl had been in a relationship with one of the accused for several months. Investigators are looking into all aspects of the case, including the alleged sexual assault and the recording and distribution of the video.

SDPO Ramesh Kumar said the allegations involved both sexual exploitation and the circulation of objectionable material and assured that action would be taken against those found responsible.

Further legal proceedings will follow after the girl’s statement is recorded and the investigation into the allegations is completed.
