Ranveer Singh may be coming off a blockbuster phase, but away from the spotlight, the actor is choosing something far more personal — time with family.
Despite the massive success of Dhurandhar and its sequel, Ranveer has noticeably stepped back from public appearances. While fans eagerly await updates on his next big project Pralay, the actor is reportedly focusing on being present at home with daughter Dua as Deepika Padukone continues shooting for King.
Ranveer embraces family time
According to sources from the film’s production, the couple has struck a quiet balance between work and personal life. While Deepika is currently filming in South Africa, Ranveer has taken on parenting duties.
“He’s being completely hands-on,” a source shared. “While Deepika is busy on set, Ranveer is spending quality time with Dua. It’s a phase where he’s consciously staying away from the limelight.”
The insider added that the past year — marked by Deepika, Dua, and Dhurandhar — has been transformative for the actor, prompting him to slow down despite career momentum.
Deepika continues shooting King
Meanwhile, Deepika has resumed work during her pregnancy, joining Shah Rukh Khan on location in South Africa. Several visuals from the shoot have surfaced online, offering glimpses into the film’s scale.
In one widely circulated clip, the two actors are seen filming a romantic sequence on a beach at sunset — Deepika in a flowing white outfit, Shah Rukh in a striped shirt and dark trousers. Earlier images also showed them walking hand in hand, hinting at an emotional or song-driven moment.
While the makers have not officially revealed details, the visuals suggest a visually rich sequence central to the film’s narrative.
About King
King features Shah Rukh Khan as a seasoned assassin, with his daughter Suhana Khan playing his protégé. The film also stars Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, Anil Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Jaideep Ahlawat, Jackie Shroff, Raghav Juyal and Abhay Verma in key roles. Backed by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures, the film is slated for a December 24, 2026 release.
What’s next for Ranveer?
While Ranveer keeps a low profile, Pralay continues to generate buzz. The film, reportedly set in a post-apocalyptic Mumbai, will explore a darker, high-concept world with advanced visual effects. Directed by Jai Mehta and backed by Hansal Mehta along with Applause Entertainment, the project marks a new creative direction for the actor.
For now, though, Ranveer Singh seems content staying away from the noise — choosing family over frenzy, even at the peak of his career.
