Dhanashree Verma Responds to Samay Raina’s ‘Sugar Daddy’ Joke About Yuzvendra Chahal

A new social media exchange has stirred buzz around influencer Dhanashree Verma and her ex-husband, cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal. Recently, popular stand-up comic and streamer Samay Raina posted a screenshot of a video tagging Yuzvendra, with the caption: “Love you, my sugar daddy” and laughing and kissing emojis.

The post gained attention for referencing a t-shirt Yuzvendra wore during his divorce hearing that read: “Be your own sugar daddy”, sparking online speculation.

Shortly after, Dhanashree appeared to respond indirectly on social media. She shared a photo of her pet dog with a caption from the pup’s perspective: “Don’t worry guys meri mumma ka acha samay hi chal raha hai” (Don’t worry guys, my mom is having a good time). The timing led many to interpret it as a subtle reply to the viral sugar daddy remark.

Dhanashree and Chahal’s marriage, which began in December 2020, lasted less than three years and ended amid reportedly contentious proceedings. The recent viral screenshot showing Chahal in the same t-shirt has reignited debates, with many questioning whether the sugar daddy post carried a mocking undertone.

Post-split, Dhanashree has remained active on social media and focused on her professional work. She currently appears on the reality series “Rise and Fall”, where she has openly discussed her divorce and the challenges she faced during her marital period.
