Kareena, Saif Visit Karisma Kapoor After Sunjay Kapur’s Sudden Death.

Kareena Kapoor Khan was seen visiting her sister Karisma Kapoor’s Mumbai residence late Thursday night, hours after the sudden death of Karisma’s ex-husband, businessman Sunjay Kapur. Kareena was accompanied by her husband, actor Saif Ali Khan, as the two offered emotional support to Karisma and her children during this difficult time.

Sunjay Kapur, 53, reportedly died of a heart attack during a polo match in the UK. The chairman of auto components giant Sona Comstar, Kapur was a familiar name in both business and elite sports circles, particularly polo and motorsports.

Kareena arrived at Karisma’s home quietly, dressed in a blue striped shirt, and kept her head down as she exited the building later in the evening, avoiding the media. Saif, wearing a navy blue T-shirt and glasses, followed her closely. Their visit took place under heightened security arrangements, with Mumbai Police officers stationed nearby.

The increased security comes in the wake of a violent incident earlier this year involving Saif, who survived a knife attack at his Mumbai home in January. The assailant, suspected to be a burglar, inflicted multiple stab wounds, one narrowly missing Saif’s spine. The actor has since recovered, but security around the family has remained tight.

Earlier in the evening, close friends of the Kapoor family, including Malaika Arora, Amrita Arora, and Shakeel Ladak, were also seen arriving at Karisma’s residence to offer condolences. Malaika, dressed in a soft beige outfit, was spotted speaking to family members before quietly leaving the premises.

Sunjay Kapur married Karisma Kapoor in 2003 and the couple share two children—Samaira and Kiaan. They separated in 2014 and officially divorced in 2016. In 2017, Sunjay married model Priya Sachdev, with whom he had a son, Azarias. He was also a stepfather to Priya’s daughter from a previous marriage.

In a poignant moment, Sunjay had posted a message on X (formerly Twitter) just hours before his passing, expressing sorrow over the Ahmedabad Air India crash. “Terrible news of the tragic Air India crash in Ahmedabad… May they find strength in this difficult hour,” he wrote.
