Jemima Goldsmith, the former wife of jailed former Pakistan Prime Minister and cricket icon Imran Khan, has married for the second time.
The 52-year-old British screenwriter and producer reportedly tied the knot with 62-year-old Irish-Australian financier Cameron O’Reilly over the weekend, according to a report by the Daily Mail. Goldsmith’s brother, Ben Goldsmith, confirmed the marriage, while his wife, Jemima Jones, took to social media to celebrate the occasion, describing it as “What a happy day!”
How Jemima Goldsmith Met Cameron O’Reilly
Goldsmith and O’Reilly are believed to have met through their professional involvement in the film and documentary industry. Their relationship reportedly began as a friendship before eventually becoming romantic.
The couple had known each other for some time and had been dating for more than a year when reports of their engagement emerged in May.
A friend of the couple previously told the Daily Mail that their relationship developed gradually. The source said they initially met through work and remained friends before beginning a romantic relationship.
O’Reilly is known for maintaining a private personal life. He is the son of the late Irish media tycoon and former international rugby player Sir Anthony O’Reilly. He has four children.
Goldsmith, meanwhile, has two sons, Sulaiman and Kasim, from her marriage to Imran Khan.
Who Is Cameron O’Reilly?
O’Reilly began his professional career in the media business, spending years working for his father’s Independent News & Media as well as Australia-based APN News & Media.
He later shifted his focus to private equity and founded Bayard Capital in 2003, building a career in finance and investment.
Jemima Goldsmith’s Marriage to Imran Khan
Goldsmith was married to Imran Khan for around nine years. The couple’s marriage ended in 2004, although some records list 2005 as the year their divorce was formally finalised.
Following her separation from Khan, Goldsmith was romantically linked to several high-profile figures, including actor Hugh Grant, comedian Russell Brand and screenwriter Peter Morgan.
Her marriage to O’Reilly marks a new chapter in her personal life more than two decades after her relationship with Khan ended.
Goldsmith Continues to Speak About Imran Khan
The wedding comes as Goldsmith remains publicly vocal about the situation facing her former husband.
Imran Khan has been imprisoned in Pakistan since 2023 amid a series of legal cases. Goldsmith has continued to call for his release and has spoken out about his imprisonment on several occasions.
Despite moving on with her personal life, Goldsmith has maintained a connection to the political developments surrounding Khan and his continued incarceration.
