Nupur Sanon’s Fashion Label ‘Label Nobo’ Criticised for High Prices, Lack of Originality.
Nupur Sanon, sister of Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon, is facing online backlash for her fashion brand Label Nobo, with many netizens questioning the brand’s pricing and design quality. Critics on Reddit and other platforms have slammed the label for selling “basic” clothing items at what they call “exorbitant” prices.
Launched in 2024, Label Nobo—short for “No Boundaries”—markets itself as a premium brand offering high-quality fabrics. The brand is endorsed by celebrities like Kriti Sanon, Uorfi Javed, Sanjana Sanghi, and Rida Tharana.
However, users online are unconvinced. The brand’s collection includes a Banarasi lehenga priced at Rs 21,000, suit sets going up to Rs 26,500, and western outfits such as a skirt and crop top set listed at Rs 20,000. Even the most affordable pieces, like a pair of shorts, start at Rs 2,400.
On Reddit, users mocked the brand’s pricing and designs, calling them “ridiculous” and “overpriced fast fashion.” Some compared the offerings unfavorably to local market finds, claiming better quality and variety could be found in cities like Jaipur and Delhi for a fraction of the price.
