Rakesh Bedi denies receiving ₹1 crore bonus from Dhurandhar makers

On Friday, Rakesh took to Instagram to address the rumours, firmly clarifying that he has not received any such amount. In a candid video, he said, “I have been sent these videos and people have been asking me whether I received ₹1 crore from Dhurandhar. So I want to ask—where is it? Whose house is it in, whose pocket is it in? Please tell me so I can go and collect it, because it hasn’t come into my account yet. It’s not showing there.”

He added with humour, “And if it does come, I’ll tell you… or maybe I won’t. But as of now, I haven’t received anything. If anyone can help get it delivered, please do!”

Fans flooded the comments section with supportive messages, with many tagging director Aditya Dhar and urging him to acknowledge Bedi’s performance and reward him accordingly.

According to the earlier report, a source had claimed that the makers were impressed by Bedi’s performance and that his character became one of the highlights of the film. It was also suggested that he was originally paid ₹50 lakh for the franchise, and that the alleged bonus was a post-release gesture following the film’s success. However, the actor’s clarification has now dismissed these claims.

Rakesh Bedi plays Pakistani politician Jameel Jamali in the film, a role that gained significant popularity, especially after several of his dialogues went viral on social media, including the line “Baccha hai tu mera,” which became widely meme-ed.
