Another milestone for Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar’

Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar, has crossed the Rs 900 crore mark worldwide, becoming the first Indian release of 2025 to achieve this feat. What’s remarkable is the film’s sustained performance even in its third week. After a minor dip on its third Monday, Dhurandhar quickly bounced back. On Day 19 (Tuesday), the film earned Rs 17.25 crore net in India, taking its total domestic net collection to Rs 589.50 crore, with the India gross now at Rs 707.25 crore.

The film continues to shine overseas, particularly in North America and the Middle East, where it has earned USD 22 million so far. This brings its worldwide gross to around Rs 905 crore after just 19 days.

With this momentum, Dhurandhar is poised to enter the top 10 highest-grossing Indian films of all time. Analysts predict that on Wednesday, it could surpass Secret Superstar, Animal, and Bajrangi Bhaijaan on the global box office list. At this pace, the Rs 1,000 crore mark appears well within reach, cementing Dhurandhar as one of 2025’s strongest theatrical performers.

Critics have praised the film’s bold storytelling. Showsha awarded it 4 stars, noting:
“Dhurandhar is marked by profanity, gore, and violence, but all of it adds depth and nuance to the narrative. Nothing here is for cheap thrills. The film delivers a complex, long, meandering story set against an intricate political and espionage backdrop — based on true incidents but dramatized for cinematic effect.”

Set in Pakistan, Dhurandhar follows an Indian spy infiltrating the Lyari gangs in the early 2000s. The film stars Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi, weaving together real-life events with high-octane drama.
