Sensex jumps 800 pts; Nifty near 23,700; Zaggle Prepaid shares slump 19%

The Nifty50 and the Sensex rose, while investors monitored the outcome of US President Donald Trump and the Chinese President Xi Jinping’s meeting.

As of 12 PM, the Nifty50 was trading 269.50 points or 1.15 per cent higher at 23,682.10, and the Sensex was up 777.24 points or 1.04 per cent at 75,369.83.

Cipla, Adani Enterprises, and Bharti Airtel were the top gainers in the Nifty50 index.

In the broader markets, the Nifty MidCap was up 0.09 per cent, while the Nifty SmallCap was down 0.77 per cent.

Sector-wise, the Nifty Pharma the Nifty Healthcare, and the Nifty Metal were the top gainers. Meanwhile, the Nifty IT declined the most.

Chinese President Xi Jinping said that the talks with the US President Donald Trump would assist in laying out vision for a stable ties with the US, according to Bloomber.
