Sofia Hayat Calls Salman Khan ‘Hypocritical’ Over Shirtless Bigg Boss 20 Moment: ‘He Once Criticised My Body’

Former Bigg Boss contestant Sofia Hayat has criticised Salman Khan following his shirtless appearance during the latest Weekend Ka Vaar episode.

Salman removed his hat and shirt while responding to social media comments about his age, hairstyle and weight. Sofia, however, questioned his stance against body-shaming, referring to comments she says he made about her appearance during her time on the reality show.

Sofia, who appeared on Bigg Boss 7, shared a clip from the episode on X on Sunday, September 20. While reposting the video of Salman removing his shirt, she described the actor as “hypocritical” and recalled her own experience on the show.

Sofia Hayat Recalls Her Bigg Boss Experience

Sofia claimed that Salman had previously criticised her body and face during her stint on Bigg Boss, while praising Gauahar Khan’s physique. Reacting to the latest episode, she wrote, “SALMAN is an hypocritical idiot. When I was in Bigg Boss he criticised my body and face..and told Gauhar (Khan) her body was good. Argh.”

Her remarks came after Salman’s response to online trolling became one of the key moments of the Weekend Ka Vaar episode. The actor addressed the criticism he has received over his appearance and used the moment to challenge those who comment on celebrities’ bodies.

Salman has recently faced social media remarks concerning his age and weight. During the episode, he removed his hat and shirt while speaking about the scrutiny celebrities face over their physical appearance. The moment received support from several fans, while Sofia used it to revisit what she described as her own contrasting experience on the show.

Salman Khan Speaks Out Against Body-Shaming

The discussion also extended to body-shaming faced by women, particularly after pregnancy. Salman questioned why people target women over changes in their bodies after childbirth.

“Why do you troll somebody who gets pregnant?” he asked during the episode.

He further said that gaining weight during pregnancy is natural and suggested that women should be given time to recover and focus on their families instead of being subjected to constant public commentary.

“Pregnant hone ke baad everyone puts on weight. Jab woh picture mein wapas aa jayengi, woh fit aa jayengi,” Salman said.

Katrina Kaif’s Appearance Also Sparks Discussion

Salman’s comments came amid social media discussion surrounding Katrina Kaif’s appearance at the Ambani family’s Ganpati celebrations. Katrina attended the event with her husband, actor Vicky Kaushal, and photographs and videos from the gathering prompted online comments about her appearance.

While Salman did not specifically name Katrina in his remarks, his comments on body-shaming came as discussion about the actor’s appearance was already circulating online.
