The Vvaan: Sidharth Malhotra, Tamannaah Bhatia Starrer Gets U/A 16+ Certificate With Zero Cuts

Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia’s upcoming film The Vvaan has received clearance from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) without any cuts or modifications.

The film has been awarded a U/A 16+ certificate and is scheduled to hit theatres on September 25, 2026. According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, the film was certified by the CBFC on Tuesday without any changes. The clearance comes at a time when several recent films have reportedly faced requests for edits and modifications from the certification board.

The Vvaan gets U/A 16+ certification

An industry source cited by the portal said the certification was in line with expectations, pointing to the film’s reported treatment of violence, romance and dialogue.

The source suggested that the filmmakers have kept these elements within limits while retaining the story they intended to tell, leaving little scope for the CBFC to seek cuts.

Alongside Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia, the film features Anup Soni, Sunil Grover, Shweta Tiwari and Maniesh Paul in key roles.

The Vvaan runtime revealed

The film has a reported runtime of 136 minutes and 25 seconds, making it 2 hours, 16 minutes and 25 seconds long. The first half is approximately 1 hour and 4 minutes, while the second half runs for around 1 hour and 12 minutes.

The Vvaan has been directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra, best known for helming the popular OTT series Panchayat.

The Vvaan release date

The film was initially scheduled for a theatrical release on August 28, 2026. It was expected to clash at the box office with Yash and Kiara Advani’s Toxic, but the makers later postponed the release by nearly a month.

The Vvaan will now arrive in cinemas on September 25. Although it does not face a major new Bollywood release on the same date, the film will compete for audience attention with the theatrical re-release of Avengers: Endgame.

The film’s trailer has received a mixed response, while songs such as Chhathi Maiya and Thummak Thummak have generated interest ahead of its theatrical debut.
