‘To our hero’: Deepika Padukone receives beautiful bouquet from ‘Singham 3’ team

Deepika Padukone, who plays Lady Singham in Rohit Shetty’s ‘Singham 3’, was gifted a beautiful bouquet by the film’s team. The mother-to-be posted a photo of the gift which was accompanied by a cute note.

Deepika Padukone is Rohit Shetty’s Lady Singham. The actor recently shot for a sequence in the film, wearing a cop’s uniform. The actor was presented with a beautiful bouquet by the film’s team. In it, was a note that mentioned, “To our hero, Lady Singham”.

Filmmaker Rohit Shetty, on April 19, presented Deepika Padukone as Lady Singham. Shetty posted a still of Deepika from the film and called her, his ‘hero’. Her first look as Shakti Shetty was unveiled in October 2023, Shetty dropped a sneak peek of Deepika dressed as a cop in a new still from the film. Deepika was seen recreating the ‘Singham’ hook step.

Deepika Padukone plays Lady Singham in Rohit Shetty’s copverse, ‘Singham Again’. The actor’s character from the film was introduced last year. Sharing the same, Rohit wrote, “Naari Sita ka bhi roop hai aur Durga ka bhi (In women, there is the form of Sita and also of Durga) Meet the most brutal and violent officer of our cop universe Shakti Shetty my Lady Singham Deepika Padukone (sic).”

It was in December 2022, when Rohit Shetty first confirmed that Deepika Padukone would play Lady Singham in his first female-centric copverse. At the song launch of ‘Current Laga Re’, Deepika shared a glimpse of her ‘tashan wali walk’ (walk with attitude) as Lady Singham.

At a ‘Cirkus’ event held in 2022, Rohit Shetty spoke about Deepika Padukone as Lady Singham and said, “Kahi na kahi to pata chal hi jaega so I will tell now only (Somewhere or the other, the truth will come out, so I’ll tell you now). The next film that we are making is Singham from our cop universe. And every time I am asked ‘Lady Singham kab aegi’ (When will Lady Singham come). So, ‘Singham Again’ has a Lady Singh (while pointing towards Deepika Padukone). She is my lady cop from the cop universe. We are working on it next year.”

‘Singham Again’ features an ensemble star cast comprising Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff and Ranveer Singh.
