Taylor Swift’s longtime dancer and choreographer Kam Saunders shared a touching moment with his mother, Kim Hamilton.

In the second episode of the six-part docuseries The End of an Era, which premiered on December 12. The heartfelt exchange has quickly resonated with fans. Ahead of one of his performances on the Eras Tour, Hamilton—who uses a wheelchair to navigate the concert venue—said she was thrilled to watch her son perform once again, even as she joked about refusing to stay still.

“My knee is doing better, and I don’t really want to be in the wheelchair,” she said. “I need it a little bit to get me there, but I wanna dance.” Laughing, she added that she planned to sit in the wheelchair section while still “popping off” to the music. “I might feel like a hypocrite. I think they’ll come and take the wheelchair,” she joked.

Saunders teased his mother about what “popping off” meant, asking if that was the dance move she intended to show. Hamilton responded playfully, explaining that her moves ranged from shimmies to rolls—and often included choreography created by Saunders and his team for Swift’s concerts.

“Sometimes there’s a shimmy, sometimes it’s a roll. And a lot of times it’s your guys’ choreography too,” she said. The moment turned nostalgic when Hamilton began dancing to Swift’s 2014 hit Shake It Off and her 2017 track …Ready for It?, drawing laughter from Saunders.

Later in the episode, Saunders reflected on his mother’s sacrifices and the role she played in supporting his and his brother’s dreams. “I’ve seen so many sacrifices—for us to be able to do what we’re doing and to follow those dreams with every part of us,” he said.

He added that he makes a conscious effort to include his mother in his milestones and celebrations. “I will never not have you in these spaces with me,” Saunders said. “Just as hard as I’ve worked, I’m very clear about how hard you’ve worked for us. That’s why I try my hardest to take care of you.”
