Kannada superstar Yash is gearing up for his much-anticipated film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, and fresh reports about his remuneration have sparked major buzz in the industry.

According to a report by Siasat.com, the actor is reportedly charging around ₹50 crore for the film. However, there is no official confirmation regarding this figure, and it also remains unclear whether Yash has opted for a profit-sharing deal in addition to his acting fee.

Teaser Creates Massive Buzz

The recently released teaser offers a glimpse into a dark, stylised revenge drama directed by Geetu Mohandas. The visuals move from a circus-like setting to an East Asian-inspired world, blending grandeur with raw brutality. The film appears to span multiple timelines, hinting at an intense narrative layered with action and emotion.

At the heart of the teaser is Yash’s dramatic transformation. The actor showcases striking physical variations — from a lean, sharp look to a rugged, battle-ready persona — underlining the scale and ambition of the project.

Star-Studded Cast and Crew

Apart from Yash, the film features Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi and Tara Sutaria in pivotal roles.

The technical team includes National Award-winning cinematographer Rajeev Ravi, music composer Ravi Basrur, editor Ujwal Kulkarni, and production designer TP Abid. The action sequences are being choreographed by Hollywood action director JJ Perry — known for his work on John Wick — along with acclaimed action duo Anbariv and Kecha Khamphakdee.

Multilingual Release Planned

Written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas, Toxic has been shot simultaneously in Kannada and English, with dubbed versions planned in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam — signaling a strong global push.

Backed by producer Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, the film is slated for a grand theatrical release on March 19, 2026, during the festive weekend of Eid, Ugadi and Gudi Padwa.

With high production values, an international technical team and Yash’s reported hefty remuneration, Toxic is shaping up to be one of the biggest releases of 2026.
