PM Modi in Bihar: Vows Unstoppable ‘Seva’, Slams Opposition Over ‘Jungle Raj’ Legacy.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday reiterated his government’s commitment to Bihar’s development, announcing that three crore more pucca houses will be built as part of ongoing welfare efforts. Addressing a public rally in Siwan, the Prime Minister said his mission of “seva” (service) will continue relentlessly.

“Modi will not sleep peacefully, will continue to work for you all—you are my family,” he said, assuring the people that his service to Bihar and the nation will not stop.

Without directly naming political rivals, Modi took sharp aim at the Congress and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD)—referring to their election symbols, ‘Panja’ (hand) and ‘Laltern’ (lantern)—accusing them of turning Bihar into a symbol of poverty and lawlessness during their rule.

“The parties behind ‘Panja’ and ‘Laltern’ created ‘jungle raj’ in Bihar and now they’re desperate to return to power,” Modi said. “It is the NDA that pulled Bihar out of that darkness and placed it on the path of progress.”

He praised the role of Bihar’s youth in rejecting that past and supporting development.

“Today’s generation has only heard stories of the ‘jungle raj’. They haven’t lived it. It’s the youth who have uprooted it by choosing the path of progress,” he declared.

Highlighting the work done under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s leadership, Modi said Bihar’s transformation aligns with the legacy of freedom fighters and visionaries such as Rajendra Prasad and Brajkishore Prasad.

“We are taking forward their life missions with firm resolve,” the Prime Minister said, noting that new projects worth thousands of crores of rupees had been launched or inaugurated during the event.

Modi also shared insights from his recent international trip, underscoring India’s growing stature on the global stage.

“I just returned from abroad, where I met leaders of the world’s most developed nations. They’re amazed by India’s pace of growth,” he said. “They all agree—India is on its way to becoming the world’s third-largest economic superpower. And Bihar will play a key role in that journey.”

The speech signals the NDA’s broader election messaging in Bihar: a promise of infrastructure, upliftment, and continuity—contrasted with a past marked by misgovernance and fear.
