BCCI Raises Sponsorship Rates After Dream11 Exit.

Sponsoring Team India is set to become more expensive, with the BCCI revising jersey sponsorship rates to ₹3.5 crore per match for bilateral series and ₹1.5 crore per game for multilateral tournaments.

According to a Cricbuzz report, these new figures—applicable to ICC and Asian Cricket Council (ACC) events—are higher than the current rates of ₹3.17 crore (bilateral) and ₹1.12 crore (multilateral).

The hike comes in the wake of Dream11’s exit as the Indian team’s title sponsor. The fantasy gaming platform pulled out after the government’s Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025 came into effect, leading the BCCI to cancel its contract. The Act bans companies offering or advertising real-money online games, directly impacting Dream11’s operations.

With the new rates, the BCCI could earn over ₹400 crore annually, depending on bidding outcomes. The revision will take effect after the Asia Cup, starting September 9 in the UAE.

The board has already invited fresh bids for the sponsorship, setting September 16 as the deadline. However, firms involved in real-money gaming or cryptocurrency have been barred from participating, in line with government restrictions.

For the upcoming Asia Cup, India will play without a title sponsor, a rare gap in one of cricket’s most high-value sponsorship deals.
