Pakistan will host foreign ministers from Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Egypt for high-level talks focused on the ongoing conflict involving Iran, officials said on Saturday.

Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has invited his counterparts to Islamabad, where meetings are scheduled for Sunday and Monday.

“During the visit, the foreign ministers will hold in-depth discussions on a range of issues, including efforts to de-escalate tensions in the region,” Pakistan’s foreign ministry said in a statement.

The visiting ministers are also expected to meet Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty will join counterparts from Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkey for the discussions, Egypt’s foreign ministry confirmed.

According to a source cited by AFP, the quadrilateral meeting is likely to take place on Monday, with delegations expected to arrive in Islamabad by Sunday evening.

Pakistan has increasingly positioned itself as a diplomatic intermediary amid the conflict, leveraging its longstanding ties with Iran and close relations with Gulf states and Western powers.
