While the makers have not officially confirmed his involvement, fan excitement is already building. The film was first announced in 2025 and will also mark Akshaye Khanna’s Telugu debut.
According to 123 Telugu, Prabhas has reportedly completed shooting his cameo, though details about his character remain under wraps.
Prabhas’s Upcoming Projects
Prabhas is currently working on Fauzi, a period action drama directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, set for a Dussehra 2026 release. The film stars debutant Imanvi, along with Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, and Jaya Prada in pivotal roles.
Previously, he appeared in The Raja Saab, a horror-comedy directed by Maruthi, featuring Sanjay Dutt, Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan, and Riddhi Kumar. Despite its star-studded cast, the film received a lukewarm response from critics and audiences.
Looking ahead, Prabhas is also set to star in Spirit, a cop action drama directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, scheduled for March 5, 2027. Triptii Dimri will make her South Indian debut as the co-lead, while Vivek Oberoi plays the main antagonist. The first-look poster for Spirit has already been unveiled.
Bhoomi Shetty as Mahakali
Mahakali recently released Bhoomi Shetty’s first-look poster, showcasing the actress in the Goddess Kali avatar with a fierce expression. Sharing the poster on X, Prasanth Varma wrote:
“From the cosmic womb of creation awakens the most FEROCIOUS SUPERHERO of the universe! Introducing #BhoomiShetty as MAHA #Mahakali.”
Akshaye Khanna as Shukracharya
Akshaye Khanna’s Telugu debut adds further star power to the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe. The director unveiled Khanna’s striking first-look poster, showing the actor fully immersed in his role as the formidable Asuraguru Shukracharya. The caption reads:
“In the shadows of gods, rose the brightest flame of rebellion 🔥. Presenting The Enigmatic Akshaye Khanna as the eternal ‘Asuraguru SHUKRACHARYA’ from Mahakali.”
Film critic Taran Adarsh confirmed that Akshaye Khanna has joined Mahakali, marking his entry into Telugu cinema and raising expectations for a powerful performance.
