‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar’ box office Day 6: Randeep Hooda film earns its lowest

Randeep Hooda’s recently released film ‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar’ is struggling at the box office as it registered its lowest-ever collection on March 27. On Wednesday.

The film earned less than Rs 1 crore net at the domestic box office. It is to be seen if the film would pick up momentum over the second weekend yet again. In its six days in theatres, the film has finally earned over Rs 10 crore net in India. Now, all eyes are on its performance during the weekend.

Going by the initial trade reports, ‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar’ is estimated to have earned approximately Rs 86 lakh net at the box office in India on March 27. This takes the six-day box office collection to Rs 10.06 crore net in the country.

The film recorded an overall occupancy of 13.98 per cent on March 27, Wednesday. ‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar’ released in theatres on March 22 amidst expectations. However, the film has been receiving mixed reactions from critics and audiences alike.

‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar’ started its run on a slow note with Rs 1 crore and saw an incline during the weekends. The film performed its best on its first weekend and on Monday (March 25), which marked Holi.

The film also marked Randeep Hooda’s directorial debut. ‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar’ released in two languages – Hindi and Marathi on March 22. It also stars Ankita Lokhande as the female lead and Amit Sial and Rajesh Khera in key roles.
