Udhayanidhi Stalin Slams EPS for Forgetting Dravidam, Mocks Sengottaiyan’s Party Switch.

Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin launched a sharp attack on AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami (EPS) and former minister Sengottaiyan, now part of actor-politician Vijay’s TVK, accusing them of abandoning Dravidian ideals and acting under the influence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

Referring to Governor R.N. Ravi’s recent remark calling Dravidam “an imagination,” Udhayanidhi said Chief Minister M.K. Stalin had already vowed to curb “the Governor’s arrogance.”

He criticized Palaniswami, saying that when asked about the Governor’s comments, the AIADMK chief claimed he “didn’t know about Dravidam” and suggested the question be directed to intellectuals. Udhayanidhi accused him of forgetting not just Dravidam, but also M.G. Ramachandran (MGR) and C.N. Annadurai (Anna), key pillars of the party’s ideology.

Udhayanidhi alleged that Palaniswami’s loyalty lay with Amit Shah rather than Tamil Nadu, claiming the AIADMK leadership competed over “who is a bigger servant of Amit Shah,” with several leaders treating Delhi as their headquarters. He also mocked Palaniswami’s meetings with the Home Minister, saying he “swapped several cars” to meet him.

Turning to Sengottaiyan, Udhayanidhi said the former minister claimed to be on a spiritual journey but secretly met Amit Shah before joining another party. He added that AIADMK leaders seek Shah’s approval even to switch factions, quipping, “They are not changing parties, only branches.”

He concluded that while political debates in most parties revolve around knowledge and capability, in the AIADMK, the contest is about demonstrating loyalty to Amit Shah.
